Hope & The ACEs Agenda

The Takeaway Theatre Company has been touring our production of ‘Hope’ to schools all over the UK and abroad for over twelve years.  Its powerful and contemporary use of drama and music addresses issues such as bullying, values and rights and was performed during the prestigious Healthy Minds Awards at City Hall in London four years running.

 

Unlike other productions, Hope examines the reasons behind the characters’ behaviours and makes connections to their underlying trauma.  The play is informative and thought-provoking for both young people and staff and links closely with the ACE agenda.  The play is followed by participatory workshops during which the young people decide the outcome and can be adapted to suit both primary and secondary audiences (Ideally P6-S2).
